Created as a continuation of the Yōkai lantern, designed in 2024 at the request of the Mobilier national, Tenka (天下) is a sculptural lighting piece that extends the exploration of plant-based dyes applied to the world of objects. Draped in indigo-dyed silk, its elliptical form unfolds in a gradient from deep blue to white. At its center, an opening reveals a constellated pattern created using the shibori technique.
A contemplative object, Tenka – 天下 means “all under heaven” in Japanese, referring both to the visible universe and to the symbolic power of illumination and revelation.
